Born James Roland Goff, 17 October 1933, to Wilburn and Isabelle (Lorenzo, Idaho), Roland died on the 18 October, 2014 (Nampa, Idaho). Roland leaves behind 10 surviving children: Teresa Pierce (Fred), Gary Goff (Beth), Rolane Gibbons, Steven Goff (Melanie), Alan Goff (Helga), Leon Goff (Staci), Alecia Goff Harris, Lynette Doelling (Jed), Dana Goff (Erin), and Melissa Jorgensen (Chad). Roland was preceded in death by his wife LaNell and two children LaVon and Gina. He also lost one grandson Travis Jay Gibbons. The descendants of LaNell and Roland Goff also include 36 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Roland worked hard his entire life to provide food, shelter, love, and education for his family and served church and friends with equal vigor. Roland's family and friends will convene for funeral services at the Roosevelt LDS Chapel, 11288 W. Roosevelt Ave., Nampa, Idaho on Saturday, October 25. The visitation will be from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Saturday morning at the church with funeral service to start at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Minidoka Acequia Rupert Cemetery, Rupert, Idaho.
