It is with both sadness and joy that we share the home going of our mother, Darlene Lindstrom, age 88, on September 6, 2021. She passed away peacefully due to natural causes. She was born January 31, 1933 in Mount Pleasant, Iowa to Reverend Roy and Rena Klopping. Darlene was the daughter of a pastor living in Iowa and Wyoming. She graduated from high school in Wyoming. She attended college in Green Bay, Wisconsin before moving to Upland, California to continue college. In California, she meet and married Wendel Lindstrom where they had two children, Gary and Brad. In 1972, they moved to Nampa, Idaho where she has resided ever since, most recently at Sunny Ridge Retirement home. Her favorite verse was Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Her favorite saying was: "Only one life will soon be passed, only whats done for Christ will last." Darlene is survived by her brother and wife Robert and Karen Klopping; her two sons and their wives Gary and Carolyn Lindstrom, Brad and Delisa Lindstrom; grandchildren Lorae Crownhart, Kiara Lindstrom, Samuel Lindstrom, Sarah Lindstrom, Christina Lindstrom; great-grandchild Brody Crownhart and nieces Lynn Wilkinson and Jill Otto; plus special friends Steve and Bobbie Pearce and their children. All of these she loved and touched deeply. The family and friends would like to acknowledge Victoria and the caring staff at Sunny Ridge Retirement home, whom Mom loved, and the staff that loved her.
