Marillyn Troyer

Marillyn Alice Troyer AKA "Eunice" 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep October 26, 2016 in Nampa, Idaho. She was born to Walter and Lenora Hastings on July 22, 1932 in Indiana. Marillyn moved to Nampa in 1965 in the family station wagon with her husband Richard and their four young children: Scott, Lisa, Brett and Dixon. Before moving to Idaho, Marillyn worked as a registered nurse and earned a Master's degree in Nursing. While living in Idaho, Marillyn taught nursing at Boise State University, and the Nampa Hospital. Her children always came first, and she eventually turned her nurse's cap in to make sure her kids were raised to have a life full of love and adventure. She ran them around to football practice, swimming practice, dance, skiing, wherever the busy schedules of four kids took her, always with a smile, sense of humor and making life a fun adventure. Marillyn always liked to make the day fun. She was also known to be a second mother to several others, and many of her children's friends knew where to go to receive a home cooked meal and a place to hang out. She was loved by many. Marillyn was also known to spend her time as a volunteer and a fund raiser to raise money for schools and a better education for children. Marillyn is survived by her children: Scott, Lisa Tidey, Brett and Dixon, and six grandchildren. Marillyn affected many, and her outlook on life and sense of humor will dearly be missed.
