Marvin Dale Howe

Marvin D. Howe, 85, of Nampa passed away July 31, 2017 at a local rehabilitation center. He was born July 20, 1932 to Wilber A. and Evelyn G. Campbell Howe in Portland, Oregon. He grew up in Northern California. He attended Kensington Grade School, El Cerrito High School and attended college for a short time. In high school he was an honor student and served as a Chief Justice in the high school Supreme Court. Marvin married Sandra M. on May 8, 1954 in Seattle, Washington and they had one daughter Laurie M. Howe. Marvin was a commercial artist and sign painter for the Boeing Company. He was a member of the Western Artist Association. His hobbies included woodcarving, oil painting, horses, square dancing. He loved camping, hiking, archeology, rock hounding, artistic endeavors and swimming. His favorite place to visit is Deadwood, South Dakota. Marvin was a loving husband and father. He was kind, helpful, and he loved animals and nature. He was preceded in death by his loving wife; his parents and grandparents; a brother and a nephew. He is survived by his daughter Laurie and extended family members. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, at the Southside United Methodist Church, 5420 Southside Blvd in Nampa.
