Sandra (Sandy) Carolyn Hanson Roberts of Nampa, went to be with her lord on November 10,2018. Born on March 9,1932 in Waltham, Massachusetts,her parents were Margaret Scott & William Hanson. In Atlanta Georgia,Sandy married the late Gerald Roberts, a corporal in the Marine Corps, on December 15th 1951. They welcomed eight children & celebrated 61years together. Above all, Sandy was a devoted mother & grandmother. Her children will tell you that "Mom" should have earned a "Mother of the Year" award for 66 years straight! leading by example, she showed everyone the true meaning of unconditional love. Sandy was also a talented writer who enjoyed working as assistant editor at the Idaho Press Tribune (15 years) before retiring in June 2000. Sandy is survived by her children: Sandi(Bob) Rehnstrom, Gerry (Renee) Roberts, Colin (Evelyn) Roberts, Michael(Kelly) Roberts, Doug (Sue) Roberts, Carolyn (Sterling) Schoonover, Teri(Ed Slazak) Roberts. Also 13 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald & their son Steven Paul Roberts, her parents, brother Ian Hanson, & sister Shirley Cournoyer Erickson. Sandy Roberts was a woman of strong faith believing in the power of Jesus Christ's love & the peace awaiting her after her time on earth. Sandra (Sandy) Carolyn Hanson Roberts
