It is with great sadness that the family of Della Mae Jenkins of Nampa, Idaho, announce her passing on December 21, 2021. Della, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, died peacefully at the age of 90.She will be lovingly remembered and fondly missed by her children: Leanna Daniel, Lela and John Bickford, Carol Stone, Lynn Holcomb, Bill Jenkins, Lovena and Grant Chaput, Jeannie Daniel; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and friends.She was predeceased by her loving husband Eugene P. Daniel, who succumbed to cancer in December 16, 1964, and later by her second husband of 31 years, Dr. Robert D. Jenkins who passed on March 18, 1998, her grandson, Robbie White, her daughter, Lila Daniel on June 5, 2020, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and her parents: Alice and John Speer.Della was born December 15, 1931, and grew up in Holly, Colorado, where she obtained a high school diploma. She married Eugene Daniel in Holly, Colorado, in 1949 and with him had 5 beautiful daughters. During Eugene's long battle with cancer she worked tirelessly to provide support for her family and care for her husband. Several years after Eugene's death she married Dr. Robert Jenkins in Boise, Idaho on February 12, 1967. This union joined two families and they became one. The 7 daughters and 1 son brought many memories full of joy and, of course, some challenges. Della was a successful bookkeeper and supported the family throughout her life and retired from Farm Credit Bureau. Della bred and raised several breeds of dogs including her beloved Yorkshire Terriers. She loved to bowl and enjoyed volunteering at St. Luke's Hospital. Her belief in God gave her strength and courage throughout her life. Della's life was full of love, laughter and joy. She will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to be part of her life.A celebration of Della's life will be held on January 8, 2022, at 1:00pm at Zeyer Funeral Chapel in Nampa, Idaho.
