Delbert Carl Holden

Delbert Carl Holden was born in Franklin, Idaho on November 25, 1931 to Enos and Hazel Blanche Holden. He passed peacefully from this mortal life in Caldwell, Idaho on November 4, 2017 surrounded by his immediate family, his dear, beloved wife Arlene, and his four children. Delbert was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a missionary for 16 years. He also taught the youth of the church and had great influence on them. He served in the Korean War and received an honorable discharge. He is survived by his children: Charlene Holden, Dale (Diana) Holden, Tod (Jennifer) Holden, Helen (Jeff) Fleck; 12 grandchildren: Becky, Amanda, Austin, Mason, Shawnda, Emily, Sara, Lizzie, Tanner, Abbie, Ravyn and Rehn; 6 step-grandchildren: Jeremy, Lori, Chase, Sidney, Sara and Jackson; 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Lyola Chase, Lorraine Ross and Sharon Ann Estes. He was preceded in death by both of his parents: 7 brothers and 4 sisters: and one granddaughter, Camille. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 11 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 18486 Middleton Road in Nampa with a viewing from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Humanitarian Fund or Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or to Hospice.
