November 17, 1931 - August 18, 2022Wallace "Wally" Glover Bryson passed away peacefully on Aug 18, 2022, surrounded by family. Wally was born Nov. 7, 1931, to Allen and Corrilla Bryson in Bountiful, UT. He grew up in Bountiful and graduated from Davis High School.He grew up working with his Dad farming and selling produce at the Farmers Market in N. Salt Lake. At an early age he learned to work hard and loved to play sports, particularly basketball.In 1952 he married his high school sweetheart Helen Carol Bird, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shortly after they married they moved to France where he served in the Army during the Korean War. In 1955 they moved to Nampa, Idaho and began farming. Eventually they sold the farm and purchased the Nampa Dairy Queen and later renamed it to Dairy King--Wally's Treats and Eats. In 1988 they moved to Middleton to make their current home.He owned and operated several businesses; drive-in restaurants, mattress factory, floor coverings, imports, go-carts and truck driving. He loved to hunt and fish. He looked forward to every fall when he could saddle the horses and pack in with his brothers and sons. He also loved to take his sweetheart fishing and always removed the fish from her hook. He also grew a huge garden full of pumpkins, squash, raspberries, blackberries and shared it with everyone.He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a great example of Christ-like love. He held a number of church callings including Bishop of the Nampa 5th Ward. He loved to serve and always with a smile and cute saying.Wally is survived by his eight children: Randy (Madge) Bryson, Kip (Sabrina) Bryson, Shannon (Diane) Bryson, Tammy (Ralph) Thornley, Tina (Dave) Clark, Lane (Edmae) Bryson, Tim (Cathy) Bryson, Heidi (Steve) Lewis; 33 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; sister Julie Hart.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 27, at The Church located at 1332 Cornell St in Middleton with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45 AM prior to the services.
