Douglas Craig Endecott was born to Everett and Marjorie Endecott on February 7, 1931. Unfortunately, when Doug was five years old, his mother Marjorie unexpectedly passed away. Doug and his sister, Patricia, were lovingly welcomed into the home of his uncle and aunt Dewey and Amy Brockman, and they raised them. They lived in the Central Park community between Star and Middleton, Idaho. Doug attended Central Park School and went on to graduate from Middleton High School in 1949. He spent those years with his lifelong friends Martin Galvin and Wally Gerhauser, playing sports, going to dances and after graduation Wally and Doug joined the service at the same time. Doug enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Okinawa, Japan. Doug married, in 1955, to Louise Collins who would be the love of his life. Doug had multiple jobs and then started his career with Bob Inselman Plumbing in 1960, creating many lasting relationships along the way. He became part owner in the business for a time, retiring in 1996. Doug had an amazing work ethic and always made sure his family was taken care of. Doug was a sports lover. He played football, basketball, and baseball in school. Baseball was his favorite. He kept up with the local and national teams and always knew who would lead a series or be in the Super Bowl. He could often be found in his recliner watching a game on tv. After retirement, he began playing golf and enjoyed it and the companionship of his golfing buddies: Jim, Kent, Bob, Al and Doug. Doug was a man of few words, but his actions spoke loudly of the love he had for his family. From the time we kids were young Dad showed us that a real man was always honorable and respectful, this is the legacy that he leaves behind. Doug was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Patricia; and his infant son, Roy. Doug is survived by his wife, Louise Endecott; his three children: Danelle (Jack) Chandler, Douglas Endecott, Jody Ryker; his four grandchildren: Michelle Flores, Andrea (Michael) Check, Jacob Chandler (Audra Yoshikane), Stacie Ryker; great-grandchildren: Chelsey Flores, Julianna Flores, Jasmine Flores, Seth (Emily) Check, Samantha (Tanner) Blodgett, Chandler Check, Shams Qureshi, Payton Hincks; great-great-grandchildren Sariah Blodgett and Eli Check. Services will be Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd, in Boise, Idaho.
