Lloyd Wilfred Lucien

Lloyd Wilfred Lucien, 85, of Nampa, Idaho passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Boise, Idaho at the VA Medical Center. He was born in New Orleans, LA on January 27, 1931. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Rose Candiff Lucien; his mother Anita Jackson Lucien and his father James Harry Lucien, Sr.; a sister Verna Adele Abram; a brother James Harry Lucien, Jr.; his daughter Monique Celeste Lucien Eddings; and granddaughters Shanta Rene Eddings and Patsy Smith. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanie Lucien, whom he married in 1990 and who remained at his side until the end; his daughter Marie (Robert) Solter; sons: Dr. Michael (Darreis), Marcel and Matthew (Stefanie); 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews. Lloyd is also survived by members of his wife's family Billy (Debbie) Hurlbut, Sam (Shirley) Hurlbut and many friends. Lloyd served in the United States Army for 20 years. He was in during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War and served three tours of duty in Germany. After he retired from the Army he worked for the State of California at Sacramento State University for 20 years. Lloyd enjoyed travelling and spending time with his family and friends. A viewing will be held from 10 to 12 noon, Wednesday, October 26 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa (467-7300) with a graveside to follow at 1 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend RD in Boise.
