Joy Estelle Anderson, 87, of Meridian, ldaho passed away peaceably at Grace Assisted Living in Meridian on April 8, 2018. Joy was born in San Louis Obispo, CA, July 31, 1930 to Charles Arthur Middleton and Lillie Louisa Jepson. Joy had a younger sister who died in infancy. The family relocated to Los Angeles, CA three years later where her father opened up a carpentry shop. Joy enjoyed the beach and local parks with her parents. She attended elementary, junior high school and high school in the LA area. Upon graduation from El Monte High School, Joy married the love of her life, Keith Anderson. She and Keith had three daughters: Karen, Glenda and Wendy. After her husband was hurt while employed with the West Covina Police Department, Joy entered the working world. She worked for Sears Roebuck in their Fashion Department for 20 years. She then taught in the Regional Occupation Program for the Hacienda/La Puente Unified School District until her retirement. Joy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership positions. She enjoyed working with the young women especially. Joy's favorite career was as a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening and photography and just being with family on any occasion. Joy is preceded in death by her husband; infant sister; two step sisters and one step brother; and one granddaughter. She leaves behind all three daughters: Karen (Tuttle), Glenda (Holt) Wendy (Steed) and their children, great grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 17 at Eagle 5th Ward LDS Chapel located at 700 W. State St. in Eagle. Her burial will take place in Murrieta, CA.
