Lynn Ogden Thueson passed from this life August 31, 2021, surrounded by his family in his home in Parma, ID leaving behind his devoted wife and 8 children. He was the 2nd of 7 children, born July 16, 1930, in Sugar City, ID to Ray Devine and Tacy Mildred Ogden Thueson. Lynn attended elementary and high school in Rigby, ID. He grew up on a farm where he learned the value of hard work, a trait he passed onto his children. At 91 years old, he still worked in the garden at their one-acre home.He met and married his high school sweetheart, Deloris Elizabeth Taylor. They were married on June 10th, 1949, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Six months after Lynn and Deloris were married, he served a 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in the Southern States. At the age of 63, Lynn and Deloris faithfully served a couples-mission in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Pakistan. Lynn served in various positions of leadership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life.Lynn retired from the JC Penney company in 1990 after 38 years. He worked for JCPenney's in Idaho Falls, ID; Salt Lake City, UT; Bismarck, ND; Butte, MT; Dillon, MT; Glasgow, MT; and Sandpoint, ID. They moved to Parma, ID in 1997 to live out their retirement close to family.Lynn was an avid sports fan, particularly loving the BYU Cougars and Boise State Broncos. But his greatest love was spending time with his 119 grand and great grandchildren. Lynn is survived by his beloved wife, Deloris of 72 years; 8 children, Richard Thueson, Bruce Thueson (Gaylene), Rod Thueson (Kim), Bryan Thueson (Marlynae), Kevin Thueson (Ginny), Connie Weber (Alan), Jolene Thomas (Steve), and Michele Kimmel (Robert); 51 grandchildren, and 68 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, LaVona, and brothers, Clair (Anne), Neils (Judy), Joe (Kathy), and Rex (Jeanne). Also survived by his sister-in-law Donna (Dee Thueson, deceased).Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Devine and Mildred Ogden Thueson, his brother Dee Thueson and his two grandsons, Blake Taylor Thueson and Kyle Lynn Thueson.
