LaMar Allison Phillips Jr. died July 24, 2021, in Nampa, Idaho. LaMar was born March 15, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah to LaMar Allison Phillips and Ellen Irene Hansen. LaMar grew up in Salt Lake City attending Washington Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High School and Granite High School. On January 19, 1950, he married Dorothy Smith who was by his side to the end. After the kids were raised, LaMar and Dorothy moved to Glenwood, Utah and later to Melba, Idaho. LaMar provided for his family as a butcher taking pride in stitching fingers without pain killers. LaMar found pleasure in hunting, fishing, and his garden. He enjoyed writing and completed two books.LaMar is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughters Marsha (Jim) Klatt, Janet (Kim) Hogan; sons Boyd (Connie) Phillips and Rick (Gnee) Phillips.
