Dorothy Mae Hill passed away on February 2nd, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Zora Clemens, siblings: Rita, Dave, Marvin, Ruth, and Ruby, her granddaughter Melissa, son-in-law Wayne, and her husband Walter. Dorothy is survived by siblings: Carl and Naomie, her son Jerry, daughter and son-in-law Wanda and Larry, daughters Cheryl and Janice, her grandchildren: Stephanie, Angie, Brandy, Mike, Wesley, Darren, Tammy, Scott, and Rebecca, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Dorothy was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma on November 2nd, 1928. As an adult she worked in a nursing home as a caregiver and at a laundromat but her love was for her family. During her leisure time she enjoyed the outdoors, listening to western and gospel music, as well as writing. Her love for the outdoors was seen in her desire to be out in flower and vegetable gardens. Dorothy married Walter Hill on September 10th, 1948. They went on to build a life and a family together that was full of joy and love. She had four children that she cherished. After her family was formed, she developed a relationship with Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior and became devoted to Him for the rest of her life. She was often heard talking about Jesus's love and forgiveness. Dorothy would host bible studies in her house for many years where she provided a safe place for people to learn about God. To know Dorothy was to know of her great love and kindness. One of her greatest joys in life was to spend time with her family. Family gatherings were often held at her house. For many years the family would unite at her house for Christmas, Thanksgiving, or any other holiday or event that would come up. She loved to host because she loved her family and they loved her. The family would gather for no other reason other than to share a meal and spend time together. She loved her family and was always surrounded by one member or another.
