Robert Amos Haverfield passed away at home from natural causes on September 27th, 2021, at the age of 92. He was born in Weiser, Idaho October 26th, 1928, to Roy Hansel Haverfield and Bess Ella Moulton. He was the youngest of 3 children. Robert grew up on a ranch in Weiser where he attended a 2-room country schoolhouse. He then graduated from Weiser High School in 1946. It was there that he met his sweetheart, Joyce Elaine Chandler. Robert attended the University of Idaho before marrying Joyce in April of 1948. They were then sealed in the Salt Lake temple one year later. Robert and his wife were blessed with five children: David, Joel, Cindy, Heidi, and Lona. In 1962 he moved his family to Missoula, Montana where he worked as a superintendent for the wastewater treatment plant. After retirement, Robert and Joyce retired to Nampa Idaho. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served faithfully in many callings. Robert, alongside his wife, also served several missions for the church including one to Adelaide, Australia, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Bess, his sisters June and Betty, and his granddaughter Franka Elizabeth Haverfield. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Joyce, his children; David (JoDell) Haverfield, Joel (Kim) Haverfield, Cindy (Ty) Nedrow, Heidi (Clint) Neider, and Lona (Peter) Miter. Along with 24 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 5th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 121 N. Canyon St. Nampa, Idaho 83651 with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45 AM prior to the services. Robert will be laid to rest at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa Idaho.
