Florence Beryle Saxton

Florence Beryle Saxton, 94, passed away Thursday May 13 in Rexburg Idaho surrounded by her family. Florence was born September 29, 1926 to Kirby Foreman and Mary Winifred Paulin in Boise Idaho. Florence and her family grew up in Oreana Idaho. She attended grade school in Oreana and Grandview. She completed high school at Boise High. While in school she became acquainted with one her friend's brother's Elwin Saxton. Elwin and Florence were soon married and spent a great life together. Florence and Elwin had a passion for dancing and called many square dances for the community in Oreana and were also asked several times to be dance instructors for the church. Florence was a devote member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many church callings throughout her life. Florence and Elwin had an opportunity to serve a church mission together at the BYU Dairy Farm in Provo Utah. Florence enjoyed many hobbies and interests including sewing, camping, hiking, and oil painting but truly loved dancing especially with Elwin. Together Florence and Elwin had six children, Martin, Lon, Jan, LeAnn, Karen, and Kathy. Florence always cared for others over herself, and held a deep love for her family and was always concerned about their well-being. Florence is survived by her children Lon Saxton, Jan Saxton, LeAnn Cleverly, Karen Muir, and Kathy Porter. Florence is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Florence is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elwin, son Martin, and 3 siblings. A viewing will be held Tuesday May 18, at 10:00 AM at the Peregrine Ward building located at 1985 N. Blackcat Road, Meridian Idaho. A graveside service will be held following the viewing at 2:00 PM at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery located at 4255 E. Fairview Ave, Meridian
