Robert Harold Peirsol

Robert Harold Peirsol at the age of 94, in the comfort of his own Nampa home, returned to heaven early on the morning of 7 October 2020. Robert was born 13 November 1925, in Nampa, Idaho, to his loving parents James Bryan and Nettie Olive (Doramus) Peirsol. He was raised on a farm two miles north of Melba, along with his seven siblings. Robert graduated from Melba High School in 1944. After graduation he farmed with his father before meeting and marrying the love of his life, K. Virginia Roach, on 14 June 1947. They were married at the First Baptist Church in Boise. Robert then went to work for Idaho Typewriter and Crane Plumbing, but quickly realized his passion was in farming. They moved to their 100-acre farm in South Nampa on W. Dooley Ln in March of 1948. Since they were already gifted a Holstein heifer as a wedding present from his parents, Robert and Virginia scrimped and saved to add a Jersey heifer to their herd, their primitive dairy was then born. He raised hi-bred corn, grains and feed for the dairy. This would be the dairy and farm that would leave many wonderful memories for their four children and 12 grandchildren to cherish. After retiring from the dairy life in 1995, Robert and Virginia would enjoy many miles of traveling with Robert's siblings. This included trips to Alaska, across the United States to visit family, and even a trip to Barbados. Robert loved his hunting and fishing trips with family. In their younger years the couple would enjoy many nights of square dancing. Robert's memory was one to impress anyone, his hobby of reading would leave him with much knowledge that he openly shared with anyone during a visit. His countenance was one of great kindness, never once was a bad word said of others, and he was always one of the first to offer help to anyone. Robert is survived by his wife, Virginia, of 73 years; his children: Gerald Peirsol, Carol McArthur, Betty White and John Peirsol; one brother, George Peirsol; and sister, Colene Warren; as well as 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings: Erma Whitten, Homer Peirsol, Velma Riddle, Velda Raynor, and Gene Peirsol; and son-in-law Pete McArthur. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, 16 October at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th St N in Nampa. A viewing will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, 15 October at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa. 208-467-7300. Condolences may be expressed at ZeyerFuneralChapel.com. The family of Robert Peirsol would like to thank Keystone Hospice for their dedicated care and compassion during this difficult time. They would also like to thank Dr. Stanley Stringam, Esmerelda and the rest of the Saltzer Medical staff for the many years of taking care of Robert.
