June Eileen Baldwin

June Eileen Young Baldwin, a life time resident of Nampa, Idaho passed away on May 19, 2018, in Nampa. She was 94 years old. June was born to Albert and Samantha Young on June 23, 1923 in Bowmont, Idaho. She was the youngest of seven children. She attended Schools in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School. She was a life time member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She married Robert L. "Bob" Baldwin on May 21, 1943 in Nampa. They were married nearly 60 years. They had one child, Margaret Ann Baldwin (Benson) and three grandchildren: Monica, Suzann and Sarah. June worked for Samuel C. Taylor M.D. and then followed him to The Medical Center Physicians (Saltzer Medical) and enjoyed her work for numerous years until she retired. She loved to cook and sew and made pageant gowns and a wedding gown. She loved to play bridge, and belonged to several bridge groups. She and Bob loved to go dancing on the weekends. They loved to travel with their family, and she even rode a 4-wheeler with her granddaughter Monica, when she was in her 80's! She loved animals, especially her Chihuahua Beanzie. She was a wonderful and amazing mother and grandmother. She was very close to her parents and siblings and nieces and nephews. She had numerous friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Nampa. June was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Florence Harris, Fern Covert, Edna Doner, Homer Young, Otis Young and Verla Tollefson; and brothers and sisters-in law; several nieces and nephews and her son-in-law G. Taft Benson. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Benson; granddaughters: Monica (Mark) Peterson, Suzann (Ryan) Hawkes and Sarah (Daniel) Burton; 11 great-grandchildren: Mark, Miranda (Zack) Grunig, Michael, Marnie and Marlie Peterson, Chloe and Ava Hawkes, Samantha, John, Anna and James Burton; and one great-great-granddaughter June; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa with a viewing at 12:00 noon prior to the services.
