Wanda Call Lowe Poppleton, 96, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Kuna and Nampa, Idaho, and Draper and Herriman, Utah, died September 9, 2018. She was born October 3, 1921 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Elbert Vinson Call and Hannah Lucretia Tolman Call, the 11th child in a family of 15 children. Wanda Call married Ernest Noel Lowe in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 3, 1940. Wanda and Ernest made their home on a dairy farm in Kuna, Idaho. They were blessed with six children. Wanda and Ernest were married 34 years at the time of his unexpected death on October 14, 1974. Wanda married George Edward Poppleton on December 31, 1975 in Ogden, Utah. They were married 25 years at the time of his death in January 2000. Wanda was an active, lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her sons, Lester (DeNeice) of Kuna, Idaho; Melvin (Lois) of Huachuca City, AZ; Derald (Suzanne) of Kuna, Idaho; Roger (Margaret) of Nampa, Idaho; and her daughter and son-in-law Christine and Joseph L. Nice of Mesa, Arizona; Stepdaughter Peggy Gibbs of Nampa, Idaho; Stepson George L. (Andrea) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Jackie Poppleton of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by her sister, Elsie Call Channer of Marsing, Idaho; 26 grandchildren; 76 Great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 13 siblings; two husbands Ernest N. Lowe and George E. Poppleton; infant son Ricky Loren; grandson Ryan Noel Lowe; great-grandson Cameron Shane Lowe; daughter-in-law Mary Lou (Penny) Falconer Lowe; and stepson John K. Poppleton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1500 Smith Ave in Nampa with a viewing from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
