Sandra Brown

Sandy was so happy as the light of Jesus took her home. As her family is saddened by her death, we also rejoice that she is in Heaven with God. She will see no more sadness, sickness or troubled times. Her tears have been wiped away, because the Lord is her Shepherd. Sandra Kay Brown, 71, was born to Richard and Minnie Reynolds on December 28, 1952, where she joined her two older sisters, Karen and Sharon. After her, a brother Rick, and sister, Kelli joined the family. She grew up on the family farm which was located east of Kuna. Sandy attended the Kuna schools. She loved her community, school, and loved cheerleading for the sports teams, in addition to playing in the band. Sandra was head cheerleader and was chosen Homecoming Queen as well. It was her bubbly personality that made her fun to be around and the many friends from her school days still are close to this day. Sandy and Gary Hatch were married shortly after she graduated high school and within this union three children were born: Scott, Kim, and Tisha. Years later, they divorced, and Sandy’s travels, led her to Challis, Idaho where again, many long-lasting friendships and memories were made. In 1988, Sandy met Max Brown on a blind date and married a short time after. Max brought a daughter Elaina to the union, and about a year into Sandy and Max’s marriage they welcomed a son, Wesley. Throughout her life, Sandy worked as a waitress at the Golden Star and at Vina’s. She also worked at a couple call centers, Sears credit, and Capital One Credit. She later joined the crew at Idaho Health and Welfare, where she truly felt like she was helping people. She made so many great wonderful friends throughout her time working. Sandy was an avid “thrifter” and “yard saler,” always looking for a great deal. Max and Sandy loved to go to casinos, play her numbers on the roulette wheel and to take cruises. Along with Sandy’s BFF of 50+ years, Ali and her husband Earl, were able to visit many places (with her favorite always being somewhere she could see the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean). Sandy had a fun & witty personality and a rock-solid love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She truly lived her faith out daily, by being an un-dimmable loving light in a dark world. Sandy poured her love into her family, and once grandkids started coming her love multiplied. Her grandkids were her everything, she was her most happy surrounded by lots of family with the little ones running around. Sandy fought a long hard battle of stage four breast cancer. Services for this great lady will be held on March 16th, 11am, at Lake Shore Drive Baptist Church, in Nampa, Idaho. She is proceeded in death by her husband Max, father Richard, brother Rick and sister Sharon.
