Lesley Lavonne Salway Matuska, 59, of Nampa Idaho, passed away April, 01, 2024. Lesley was born to Carl George Salway Sr. and Patricia Elaine Roddel Salway on November 14,1964 in Fort Wayne, Indiana becoming the fifth of six children. Lesley grew up in Fort Wayne and Monroeville Indiana, where she attended elementary and high school in the Fort Wayne, Indiana School system. Lesley was set up on a blind date in 1983 with Kevin Matuska, where they attended a mutual friend’s wedding. That blind date was the beginning of a lifetime of love shared together. Lesley and Kevin were married a year after that first date in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 25, 1984. Lesley and Kevin moved to Lakeside, California where they raised their three sons, Nicholas, Jeffrey, and Bradley. They were also blessed by a bonus daughter, Olivia Bellon. While in Lakeside, Lesley worked as a pharmacy technician for 20 years at Leo’s Lakeside Pharmacy and was loved by the entire community. Family was everything to Lesley and she loved spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. Lesley loved baseball and was a devout San Diego Padres fan. She loved to cheer them on with her family by her side. She also cherished every opportunity she had to sit down with her family to play card games and just spend time together. Lesley is preceded in death by her parents Carl George Salway Sr. and Patricia Elaine Roddel Salway. Lesley is survived by her husband Kevin, her sons Nicholas (Leah) Matuska, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Matuska, Bradley (Allie) Matuska and stepdaughter Olivia Bellon. Lesley also leaves behind her 11 adored grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Carson, Amelia, Margaret, Mary, Wyatt, Winnifred, Annabelle, Levi and Oliver. Lesley is also survived by her siblings Kathy Schott, Diedra Partin, Carl G. (Allision) Salway Jr., Ellen (Michael) Hobkirk, Monte (Roberta) Salway and sister in heart Amy Bell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Notus Baptist Church, 441 Notus Rd, Notus, Idaho 83653. Burial will take place at a later date.
