Unfortunately, and unexpectedly, Vera Healy has been chosen by our Lord and Savior to join him in Heaven on Friday April 5th, 2024. Vera was an amazing woman born in Sumter South Carolina on January 15th, 1955. She had a younger brother named Eddie Hatchell and her mother and father were Vera and Henry Hatchell. She was survived by her spouse Dennis Healy Sr, children Allen Parker, Michael Boone, Amanda Healy - Pribek, Dennis Healy Jr, Samantha Healy, Stepson Daniel Healy, nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Vera had been raised in South Carolina, lived in Floridia for some time and then eventually ended up in Idaho by 1982.Vera found employment at a local bar in Caldwell, Idaho where she met her husband of 41, nearly 42 years in 1982. Shortly after she arrived in Idaho Vera and Dennis married on August 19th 1982. After their marriage, they began their family in 1983, then they found a home in Middleton Idaho for a few years. Eventually they settled in the countryside of Caldwell, Idaho where they had purchased a home on a piece of land. Vera loved to improve the land and the home. She also spent a lot of time in the yard.Vera liked to grow a garden and liked to have family gatherings. She always wanted to bring the family all together to have some fun and sometimes to do a little bit of chores. She would always want to make a ton of food and just create the opportunity for us all to hang out with the family for the day. All she ever really wanted was to be surrounded by family. She loved her family more than anything in the world.Mrs. Healy loved to go fishing and camping. She loved the outdoors and the animals, especially birds. Her husband would likely have to take the fish off of the hook for her though if she had caught one. She loved her television shows whether they were older like Raw Hide or newer. She was a fan of soap operas like One Life to Live and Days of our lives. She would never miss her game shows like Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and The Price is Right.Vera worked hard for her family and for many different places as a waitress like The Sunrise Café and The Golden Palace where she worked for 15 years. Vera loved people and she loved working as a waitress. She was known by many people because of her presence in the restaurant industry. The café inside Purple Sage Golf Course was her last place of employment where she had enjoyed working for a few years. If you ever went to see her at work, she would always try to feed you and she would always offer something to drink.Vera had a kind and loving heart. She was forgiving and didn’t hold grudges. She would support you no matter what you did and stand by your side. She never did hold back on her thoughts or opinions, so you always knew where you stood. She will be missed by so many of us and more than words can describe. She is loved so much and will be remembered forever. For family and friends wishing to say goodbye and give their condolences, there will be a viewing at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd. in Nampa, Idaho on April 20th, 2024. The viewing will be held from 2:00pm until 4:00pm with a celebration of life to follow at the home of Vera and Dennis Healy.
