Barbara Smith peacefully passed into Heavenly Father’s loving arms on June 27, 2024. She was born on January 12, 1952, in Nampa, Idaho, and lived a life of service to her Lord and others.Barbara graduated from Nampa High School and studied at BYU. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in San Diego, CA & was a member of the Nampa 30th Ward. She made countless genealogy books, served in the Family History Department, ROC & the Boise, Idaho Temple. She was loved & appreciated by many. Barbara was talented with many gifts, including crocheting, tatting, needlework, cross stitch, embroidery, arts & crafts, playing the piano, the violin, & loving others around her. By nature, she was a true teacher of all ages. She loved studying the gospel. She loved lambs, cats and small animals. She traveled to Israel, Alaska, Canada, England, and several parts of the U.S. She overcame many obstacles in her life, including 2 kidney transplants, leading her to became a dialysis nurse as her profession.Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Bert Smith, her mother, Edith Davis Kent Smith, and one brother, David Kent. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Williams, and Julie Jackson, and one brother, Larry Robert Smith.
