Ina Lynn Miller, age 87, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 4, 2024. Born on November 19, 1936, in Helena, Montana, she was the daughter of Afton Campbell and Elsie Waldemar Campbell and the second of four siblings.Lynn grew up in St. Anthony, Idaho, and moved to Nampa at the age of 16. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1955. She later moved to California, where Lynn met her future husband, Alfred Paul Miller. Their shared passion for travel led them on many adventures, with New York being one of their favorite destinations. For Lynn, it was a special experience to explore Alfred’s home state and embrace the spirit of adventure.Lynn enjoyed a distinguished career as a Law Enforcement Officer for Owyhee County. Her career was filled with memorable experiences and stories that she loved to share. Her commitment to her profession was matched by her deep love for God; she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Lynn had a personality of her own—strict yet fiercely loving. Her unique character was evident in all she did. She was also passionate about attending Indian pow-wows, where she was captivated by the culture and loved collecting Native American memorabilia. The drums, beats, and vibrant energy of these events held a special place in her heart.Outside of her professional and personal passions, Lynn was an avid photographer, enjoyed creative memory projects, and loved reading crime novels and solving crossword puzzles. Her lifelong devotion to the New York Yankees was a cherished family tradition that spanned generations. One of her childhood memories was listening to the games on the radio and updating her mother on the score and plays while her mother worked in the fields.Ina Lynn Miller is survived by her children, Afton Campbell (Pam), Janelle Christmas (Chad), and Randy Schild (Janelle); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Afton and Elsie Campbell; her husband, Alfred P. Miller; and her son-in-law, Chad Christmas.Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm, Friday, September 13, 2024 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, located at 83 N. Midland Blvd. in Nampa, Idaho. A viewing will be held prior to the services at 4:00 pm. Burial and graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 14 and the Parker Cemetery in St. Anthony, Idaho.Ina Lynn Miller’s spirit, faith, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
