Eduardo Mendieta

Eduardo Mendieta, 74, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on October 8, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 13, 1949, in Mexico City to Angel Mendieta Sanchez and Juanita Dominguez Maya, Eduardo attended college in Mexico with dreams of becoming an engineer. He moved to the United States as a young adult to live the American dream, where he met his wife, Mary, and together they raised three amazing children. He worked his whole life in agriculture, he later retired from Simplot. Eduardo had a passion for music, and movies. Music, movies and his children helped him learn English. He enjoyed quoting corny lines from music and movies and sharing “dad jokes” to make everyone laugh. He also enjoyed teaching his grandchildren Martial Arts and ventured in knife throwing and he demonstrated his right to bear arms. He is survived by his wife Maria Mendieta children Rene Mendieta, Eddie (Monica) Navarro, Cristobal (Lisa) Navarro, and Michelle (Gustavo) Valdez. His beloved grandchildren who he adored (he had them call him ugly rather than grandpa because he didn’t want to grow old) Alexis, Elias, Jordan, Bella, Tzel, Mia, Simon, Julia, Jasmine, Eduardo, Ashley, Alejandra, Myleah, Esperanza, Cassandra, Eli and great-grandchildren Alayna, Orion and Rome. He leaves behind his brother, sister and their children. From the very beginning of his life until his last breath, he fought valiantly against life's challenges. He was our unwavering support, always there to protect us through difficult times. He taught us the importance of hard work, resilience, and unconditional love. Though he will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing he will forever remain in our hearts. His spirit will live on in the memories shared by his family.
