Athalie Gravatt, age 94, died at Grace's Assisted Living and Memory Care in Caldwell, Idaho on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.Born August 1, 1930 in Carey Idaho, she was the eighth child of ten children born to Orville Lynn and Llewellyn Harris Loosli. All of her siblings preceded her in death; Beulah Vervine, Marjorie Louise, Gerald Jack, Quinten Deloy, Willman Eugene, Velma, Thelma, Martha and Sharon. She is survived by Martha's spouse, Athel Mallory and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Her childhood years in Carey with her Grandmother Harris must have been delightful. When she was 10 years of age her family moved to Nampa, Idaho. This is where she graduated from high school, later married, and always came back to.In her 20's she accompanied her parents on a trip to Alaska to live for the summer. This led to her love for Alaska, where she returned at least a couple more times.Athalie married A.R. Gravatt on the 21st of November 1959 and four years later they moved to McCall, Idaho, a beautiful mountain town filled with wildlife, a beautiful lake, snowmobiles and yearly ice sculptures. It was 16 years before she once again returned to Nampa, where she enjoyed time with her sisters, digging for treasures of sunstones, crystals and other gems.Eventually her aging parents needed a caretaker, so Athalie moved in, taking care of them until their passing.Always loving children, but never having any of her own, she found great joy serving as a foster grandparent for 3 years at Centennial Elementary School. The last 5, almost 6 years of her life has been spent in the Memory Care section of Grace's Assisted Living, where all the workers have showered "Miss Athalie" with great amounts of love and fun times, always making sure that she was well taken care of.So, everyone may miss her, however, she is now at home with those who missed and loved her most; her parents, nine brothers and sisters, and a myriad of family and friends. Now she is truly home.
