Paul Anthony Rodriguez passed away October 29, 2024, in Nampa, Idaho, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 30, 1961, the youngest child of Joe Vallejo and Emma Carolyn Rodriguez of Lodi, California.Paul loved the outdoors and became an avid hunter and fisherman, after his brother Mark introduced him to the sports. In California he loved hunting in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range for deer, turkey and quail. He hunted on the San Joaquin Delta for ducks, doves and pheasant. After moving to Idaho, he found a place around Cambridge, Idaho, where he would go for most of his hunting because he enjoyed the view and the drive getting there. As for his days of fishing while living in California, he loved to fish on the river on Electra Road in Jackson and in Idaho on the Boise River near Eagle. If you ever looked at his man cave you could tell how much he enjoyed both sports by the number of taxidermies and pictures on the wall.Paul also had other sports that he enjoyed and would be glued to the TV watching them, flipping back and forth through channels, to check and see other games that were on. He loved his teams: Wake Forest Demon Deacon, Oakland A’s, San Antonio Spurs, and his Miami Dolphins. His brother Joe influenced him with his biggest love, his 1955 Chevy Belair. He had this Bel Air for years. He started working on it a few years ago and it was finished and ready to go to California this past July to show it off to his family and friends. The car brought a big smile to his face and every time he walked by it in the garage he had to stop and look at it.Paul was a diligent worker. He worked alongside his father, uncles, and cousins in the family farming business Perez and Rodriguez Incorporated. His jobs included being a Mechanic for Waste Management, Loss Prevention at JCPenney, Operations Technician at Fund Raiser Sports, Merchandising and Sales Support at D&B Supply, and at Lowe’s, where he developed many friendships with those he met.Paul is survived by significant other, Christina Jemmett; brothers, Joe Rodriguez and Mark Rodriguez; sister, Marie Rodriguez; six nephews and nieces; seven great nephews and nieces; and one great- great niece.Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Emma; sister, Cecelia Rodriguez-Ray; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Dr, Rio Vista, CA 94571.
