Barbara Jean Smith, 69, of Nampa, Idaho peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024. Barbara was born on May 26th, 1955, alongside her twin brother Robert, in Gooding, Idaho to James and Leona Mullenberg. She graduated from Camas County High School in 1975. She graduated from the Dental Assistant Program from Boise State University in 1986. On May 16th, 1988, Barbara married the love of her life Raymond Smith. Together they had one child, Amanda. Barbara grew up in Fairfield, Idaho where she spent many hours working on her grandparents’ hay farm. She loved her family and spent many hours reading, quilting, cooking and telling stories. You could always find her with a smile on her face and willing to help anyone in any way she could. She was a dental assistant for many years then became a caregiver in a nursing home until she was unable to any longer. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband Ray of Nampa, her daughter Amanda (Dustin) Steelsmith of Nampa; her two grandchildren Dusti and Bo Steelsmith of Nampa; her siblings Robert “Bob” Mullenberg of Meridian, Christine Ashmeand of Fernwood and Rita Mullenbger of Meridian along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents James Mullenberg and Leona Riese.
