John Dean Haber passed away on April 23, 2020, at home with loved ones by his side, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 14, 1965 in Nampa, Idaho where he spent his childhood exploring the Idaho outback with his faithful companion, Pup. He attended Nampa High School. After graduating he joined the U.S. Army where he was proud to have earned the Expert Badge in Sharpshooting and the Expert Bar in Hand Grenade while serving. John met the love of his life, Sandra Ann Dixon, in 1993. They were married on April 26, 1996 and became a family. If he wasn't camping he wanted to be in the comfort of his home. He worked for the Amalgamated Sugar Company for 12 years. He was also happy to say that he had concurred an alcohol addiction. His hobbies included: collecting fine tobacciana items, M&M memorabilia and reducing the squirrel population with specialized air rifles. He is survived by his parents Dean Haber and Peggy Leonard; siblings Jason Haber and Janean Haber; spouse Sandi Haber; children: Stacy Osburn, Danny Norris, Terry Jo Norris; and six grandchildren. We will miss and love you forever, our only John-John. A celebration of life is tentatively scheduled for late July 2020.
