Beth Wheeler

Beth Ward Wheeler, 93, of Nampa passed away, Saturday, May 2, 2020 of natural causes. She was born July 31, 1926 in her grandparents' Kennard home in Logan, Utah to LeRoy and Marguerite Ward. She was the oldest of eight children: Paul (Toos), Lynn (Cathy), LaVar (Lois), Richard Keith (Janice), (all deceased); Mondell (Sonja), Carolyn (Rex), and Frank (Barbara). She is survived by her four sons: Dennis (Donna), Dale (Carole), Clyde (Vicki), and Steve (Vickie). Beth was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence "Pat" Wheeler; her father and mother; and four brothers. Beth was well-loved by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her loving personality was often punctuated with these encouraging words to them-- "You are alright", giving them confidence and love. Beth grew up in Cache Valley, Utah. The family later moved to Liberty, Utah where she graduated from Weber High School in Ogden. After graduating from Weber High School, she worked in Logan in a dress shop. While living in Logan Beth met Lawrence "Pat" Wheeler in May of 1946, two days after he returned home from serving in the United States Navy. They were married on July 25, 1946 and started their life together. Beth and Pat moved to Boise in 1947 where they raise their family of four boys. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker to her husband and boys. Beth always made sure the house was clean, beds were made and prepared good meals for her family. Beth work in the Boise School District school lunch program for many years at Cole Elementary School and Capital High School after her boys were all in school. Beth enjoyed spending time with family and friends camping, family reunions, church gatherings or just spending time at home with Pat and the boys. Beth always encouraged and helped her family to pursue their dreams and opportunities in life. She was always pleased with their accomplishments. Beth's sincerity and loyalty to Pat is unmatched. She stood by him and encouraged him in all his endeavors to provide for his family. Beth was always an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in the Church. She was a shining example of loyalty to family, endurance, and a soul with pure faith. She has been a foundation stone to all who knew her. Her later years were spent at a care facility in Nampa, Ashley Manor. Our family appreciates the love and care the staff has shown to our mother. A private family viewing will be held from 10 to 2 PM, Thursday, May 7 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd prior to burial.
