Joseph Sandoval

On Saturday, March 23, 2020, Joseph "Chris" Sandoval passed away at home, surrounded by his family, from complications of bile duct cancer. He was 64, having just had his 36th year wedding anniversary with his devoted wife, Cathy. He and his six siblings were raised in Hacienda Heights, CA. Chris worked for the family business, Blue Star Ready Mix, in Moorpark, CA; later on becoming a successful owner/operator of his own trucking business. For the last five years, he resided in Nampa, ID where he worked as a truck boss for the Knife River Corp. Chris most enjoyed boating, hunting, home-improvement projects, music, as well as his beloved grandchildren. He was an extremely driven and hardworking father; his true passion was a long, hard day's work and being able to give his family whatever they wished for, always before his own needs. He will be deeply missed by his wife Cathy; kids: Caryn, James and Julianne; grandchildren Avery and Harper; siblings: Patrick, Gene, Sue, Catherine and Therese. Chris was predeceased by his parents Jim and Betty; and his brother Mike. A graveside services will be held at 11AM, Saturday, May 30, at the Melba Cemetery, 7205 Baseline Road in Melba. An off-site reception will follow at 2 PM. The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Dr. J. Swerdloff and his dedicated staff at St. Luke's Cancer Institute, as well as to family and friends who visited and supported Chris throughout the last two years. A celebration of Chris and his father's lives will be held in July in Victorville, CA. Condolences may be expressed at ZeyerFuneralChapel.com
