Emma R. Lynskey

Emma Rena Lynskey, 87, of Melba passed away peacefully on March 8, 2015 surrounded by her family at the Nampa Care Center. Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on January 20, 1928, Emma was one of nine children of Charles "Charlie" and Susie Nelson Manus. She married Otis Paul Lynskey on January 29, 1946 in Melba where they made their home together. Many remember her laugh and love while working at the Melba Grocery Store or running her corn topping crew. For many years Emma was an active member of the Melba Senior Center and was always helping serve food or donating pies to the Melba Community Auction and the Melba American Legion Post #126 where she served on the auxiliary. Emma is survived by her two sons Kirby of Nampa and Kent of Ely, Nevada; two grandsons Brad Paul and Dan Wayne; two granddaughters Merry Kathleen and Brandi Richelle; several great-grandchildren; two sisters Loretta Peyton of Clarkston, Washington and Lenora Carpenter of Bonners Ferry; many nieces and nephews and countless friends and other family that were blessed to have known her. Emma loved listening to classic country music, singing, quilting, cooking, laughing, being with her family, having fun with friends and playing with children. Emma touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of being everyone's second mother all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 16 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa. 467-7300 Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com. Memorial Contributions may be made in Emma's honor to the Melba Senior Center, PO Box 153, Melba, Idaho 83641
