Henry "Dale" Stinger, 88 of Boise went home to his heavenly father on January 27, 2016. Dale, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on August 11, 1927 in Arimo, Idaho to John Walter and Anna Elizabeth Stinger. He was the 8th of twelve children. He was raised in McCammon, Idaho and in the surrounding area. He completed his primary education at McCammon High School in McCammon, Idaho. During high school he met his sweetheart Phyllis Jennie McNee. They were sealed on October 31, 1947 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were married for 59 years until Phyllis passed in 2006. Together they had four children: Rhonda Stinger, Carol Dennison, Keith Stinger and David Stinger. Dale worked as a lumberjack on the Oregon Coast for a brief time in 1947-1948. After that Dale & Phyllis moved to Boise where Dale began his career in construction with his brother Ross. From that point on until he retired he worked as a contractor/carpenter. He was highly active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a home teacher and he participated in, coached and refereed many of the church sporting events. He also worked in the Boise LDS Temple and was the building manager at the Northview church Building. He loved all of his family, most of his free time on the weekends were spent traveling to various family activities all around the state. Dale is survived by his four children: daughters Rhonda and Carol, sons Keith and David and his wife Bobbie Jo; his grandchildren: Dustin, Desiree' and her partner Luke and their children Tristan and Luxy, Scott and his wife Aidan and their children: Sterling and Cecilia, Alexandria, Tiffany and Dani; his brothers Ady Stinger and Dan Stinger, along with dozens of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Phyllis; brother Leland; sisters Gwen Packer and Melna Stinger Gough; brothers: Ross Stinger, Bill Stinger, Keith Stinger, and Herschel; sister Shirley Watson and brother Burt. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, at the Northview LDS Chapel, 6711 W. Northview St. in Boise with a viewing to be held from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the services. The interment will be Monday, February 1, at 1:00 p.m. at Arimo Cemetery in Arimo Idaho. Dale's kind heart and gentle nature will be missed by many, many people who were touched by his spirit.
