Kenneth Donald Allen was born on August 10, 1925 in Firth, Idaho, to Charles Marshall Allen and Ada Johnson Allen. He had three sisters: Bernice, Georgia, and Valene and one brother, Verlin. His family moved to Driggs, Idaho, at the foot of the Teton Mountains where he lived until graduation from High School. His favorite place on earth was Jenny's Lake and Yellowstone. He often said it was his backyard. Ken was academically blessed in school. He was student body president in high school. He loved music. He loved the big band era of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and the like. He played a trumpet in a dance band and traveled in the surrounding area for dances. He served in WWII in the Pacific campaign as a laboratory technician. He was stationed in Leyte, Philippines; Nouea, New Caledonia; and Sendai, Japan. Following the war, Ken served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Uruguay, South America. He then went to Utah State University where he met his sweetheart, Lauraine Corbridge. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple on August 20, 1951. He then transferred to the University of Utah to get his degree in Pharmacy. Ken owned several Drugstores in his career as a pharmacist. He lived in Malad, Idaho; Lewiston, Utah; Jackson, Wyoming; and Montpelier, Idaho. Ken's favorite memories are times with his family, motorcycle rides with his sons, working in the Logan Temple, and serving a mission with Lauraine in the LDS Church Family History Library. He moved to Farmington, Utah after he retired to live near his children. On April 9, 2016, he passed away in his home at the age of 90 surrounded by his loved ones.
