Genevieve Kuykendall Lemmon Uzzell, 91, of Emmett, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015. She was born November 1, 1923 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to Millie and John Kuykendall. She was the youngest of five sisters: Roxy, Lillie Bessie and Ruby. Her family was forced out of Oklahoma by the "dust Bowl". They landed in the beautiful mountain town of Durango, Colorado in 1935. Genevieve's mother Millie died in 1938. Her sister Bessie and Bessie's husband Floyd Elmore opened their home to her. She lived with them until she married Richard Louis Lemmon in 1942. They had two children, Richard and Ronald Lemmon. Genevieve and her husband moved to Lompoc, California in 1974 and in 1980 they moved to Roswell, New Mexico. Genevieve's husband passed away in 1982. She later met Earle Uzzell and they were married in 1995. In 1999, Genevieve's son Richard passed away. Earle Uzzell passed away in 2011. Genevieve had two wonderful marriages. She is survived by her son Ron (Karleen) Lemmon of Nampa; her five grandsons: Joe Lemmon of Nampa, Sam Lemmon of Emmett, Dan Lemmon of Nampa, John Lemmon of Nampa and Richard Edward Lemmon of Florida; one great-granddaughter Niyah Lemmon and one great-grandson Khalil Forehand of Nampa.
