Marjolaine Coble Walker

Marjolaine Coble Walker, 93, a long-time resident of Nampa, passed away early Saturday morning, October 10, 2015, of heart failure, at a local care center. She was born March 14, 1922 in Weiser, Idaho. She was the exact middle of nine children of Emory Clyde and Addie Hooper Coble. Her family had a fruit ranch outside of Weiser. She married Woodrow (Woody) S. Walker in October of 1939. They made their home initially in Huston, Idaho but moved to Nampa in 1950. She was an active member of the Nampa Art Guild and volunteered at the Nampa Civic Center. Mom was a supportive partner and helped with farming duties, as well as holding positions at the box factory, Armors, Montgomery Wards, and as a custodian at Sunny Ridge Elementary. She was an excellent seamstress and made her girls many unique and Beautiful dresses for special occasions and dances. Her love of Idaho and the rural, western lifestyle was reflected in her poetry and artwork. She shared her appreciation for art, poetry, literature and music with her children, grandchildren and great-grands. Mom also held education in high esteem and made sure we understood the importance of being a good citizen. She enjoyed family gatherings and visitors and regarded all who set foot on the place as family. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Walker; daughter Connie (Constantini) Marjolaine Walker Tritthart and three children who died in infancy: Sharron Lee, Charles Lee and George Emory; brothers and sisters: Ray Coble, Jay Coble, Harley Coble, Jean Tullis, Mary VanderPoole, Fern Johnson and Ruth Ann Coble (infant). She is survived by her daughters Patricia Marie Berrueta and son-in-law Joseph Berrueta of Melba and C. Kay Dyke (Stan Dyke-deceased) of Nampa; sister Dorothy Belle Coble of Vale, OR; son-in-law Don Tritthart; grandchildren: Brant Tritthart (Lynn), DonNell Tritthart Williams (Aaron), ConRad Tritthart (DeAnna), Angeleah Dempsey LeBrie, Michael Dempsey, Rick Dyke (Leslie), Dee Dyke and Shaun Dyke (Kathleen) and 19 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th St. N. in Nampa, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300.
