Wayne Frederick Fee, 92, of Nampa, passed away August 30, 2014 with his loving wife and daughters by his side. Wayne was born October 21, 1921 in Patterson, Iowa, to Mae Ellen Fee and Fred Winfred Fee. When he was young his father traveled for teaching assignments and Wayne helped support the family by hunting, maintaining the family vehicle, and trapping animals for zoos. He and his family watched Mt. Rushmore as it was blasted and shaped into the presidential monument. Wayne served in the Army Air Force in World War II in Germany and in France during the Battle of the Bulge repairing downed airplanes. After the war, Wayne met his future wife, Lorraine Anita Martin, while living at her parent's boarding house in California. They married October 25, 1949. Wayne worked at Lockheed, Kaiser Steel, and University Lincoln-Mercury (for 29 years); then opened his own four-bay auto repair shop, Precision Auto Service. He was a Master Mechanic and transmission specialist. They lived in Montclair, California, until their children were raised; then moved to Apple Valley, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; then, subsequently, Nampa, Idaho. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, square dancing, reading, flying airplanes, repairing rifles, helping family and friends with car problems, being a member of the Ford V-8 Club and participating in auto shows and parades, submitting articles for publication in automotive magazines, and restoring old cars. He was an active member of the Nampa First Southern Baptist Church and was known for his big smile and warm heart. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters: Lena Campbell, Vada Maloy, Winifred Prouty, Forest Fee, and Kenneth Fee. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; three children: Christine Mae Sugg (Dale), Curtis Donovan Fee, and Sharon Marie Pino (Raymond); five grandchildren: Donovan Eric Wishon (Christy), Jeremiah Kain Wishon (Shannon), Jessica Ann Dell (John), Jennifer Marie Delgado (Joey), Wendi Catherine Marie Kidwell; five great-grandchildren: Zane Evan Porter, Dylan Lee Wishon, Johnny Philip Dell Jr., Jace Terry Dell, Charlotte Rose Delgado; and many nieces and nephews. We are grateful to the many friends and family who enriched their lives so much and kept Wayne in their prayers. We are also very grateful to the staff of Clearwater House Assisted Living and Harrison's Hope Hospice for their exceptional loving care.
