Elsa "Fay" Washburn, born January 17, 1920 to MP & Bessie (Ledbetter) Nation in Grandfield, Oklahoma passed to heaven on May 9, 2015 at the age of 95. Mom married Francis B. Washburn on March 7, 1943 and they remained together for 62 years, until Dad's passing in 2005. They had three children: Gerald, Dennis and Melanie. She was active in many groups and organizations. She was a Master Flower Show Judge and brought home many blue ribbons. She was also a member of the Nampa Garden Club for many years. Mom and Dad loved to travel and were members of the Air Stream Club. They especially enjoyed the rallies when the grandchildren were able to go with them. Mom worked at Consumers Market for many years before deciding to work with Dad at the family owned business, Washer Electric, where they worked together until retirement. Mom is survived by her three children: Gerald Washburn of Nampa, Dennis (Faye) Washburn of Meridian and Melanie (Gene) Stewart of Meridian; grandchildren: Amy Preszler of Boise, Heather Ellis of Boise and TJ Washburn of Wilhoit, AZ; her sister Mavis Thompson of Boise; two sisters-in-law Carol Pitman of Jackson, WY and Marie Hansen of Burley and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis; her parents and stepfather and 14 siblings. A special thanks to JoAnne Zehm for always caring and helping with her every need.
