Maythel (Peterson) Zesiger passed away in Spokane WA. At the age of 85 on January 6, 2015. She was born in St. Charles, ID in 1929 to Augustus and Ellen Peterson. She is the youngest of 12 Children. She spent the majority of her life in Nampa, Id with her husband Melvin Zesiger on their farm. She had many talents including sewing, crocheting, quilting and cooking. She really enjoyed gardening and canning. She always had a beautiful garden. She had the greatest of love for her Savior Jesus Christ which showed forth through her Christlike love, touching the lives of her family and all those she associated with. She also loved and cared for many foster children, and adopted a son through the foster program. Her Christlike love and caring of others led to her career as an LPN. She received her license in 1971 and worked as a nurse for 27 years. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in the Relief Society, Young Women and many other church callings. Maythel was preceded in death by her husband Melvin; three sons: Boyd, Kelly, and Bobby, and 1 grandson Randy; her parents and 10 siblings. She is survived by one brother Lynn Peterson(Connie) of St Charles, ID; two children Deanna (Jim) Moore from Chattaroy WA. and Jerry (Cheryl) Zesiger of Wellsville, UT, and Kelly's wife Janie Zesiger of West Jordan, UT; 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was the perfect grandmother and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever she could. She left a Legacy of love, service and kindness with everyone she knew. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, January 12 at the LDS Chapel at 504 11th Ave N. in Nampa. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 11 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa (467-7300) and at the church, Monday, from 11 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services.
