Our loving son Eli Jeffrey Beus passed away from this life on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Eli was born on a sunny summer day July 6, 2007, to Joanna Hazel Baird Beus and Jeffrey Edward Beus in Meridian, Idaho.Eli joined his older brother Cutter at their home in Kuna, Idaho. He was later joined by three more brothers: Frederick, Ezra and Jeffrey Jr. Eli enjoyed being with his family most of all. Most Saturdays Eli would join his family when they went to sporting events that his brothers were playing in. With his bright smile, Eli was the best cheerleader to his brothers. He never complained about being in the sun or rain or if the games went a little too long. One of Eli's favorite things was going for a ride with his dad in his truck looking at their farm ground and construction sites.Eli went to school in Melba, Idaho where he enjoyed most everything, but math. He completed art projects, rolled a ball back and forth with his peers, listened to books and "wrote" stories all with the help of his teachers and paraprofessionals.Whether Eli was at school, church or home, the thing that got him the most excited was music. He would wave his arms and hands back and forth with a big smile on his face. The quote "When words fail, music speaks" was fitting for Eli.Wherever Eli went, he had the ability to make friends with people of all ages. It seemed like the compliment Eli got the most was how cute his freckles and blue eyes are.Eli's life accomplishments cannot be measured by earthly standards, but it can be measured by the peace, love and the example of the pure love of Christ Eli brought into his home. Eli's life was rich in everything that truly matters: love, happiness, the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, and family. Eli endured valiantly to the end. We are so proud of him.We would like to thank: Eli's teachers, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, physical, speech, and occupational therapists, medical professionals, and friends. We find great comfort in knowing of his joyous reunion with his grandparents Dennis Ray Baird and Christine Jones Baird; his cousin Max Baird Sorenson; and other great-grandparents and family preceding him in death.Eli is survived by his parents Joanna Hazel Baird Beus and Jeffrey Edward Beus; brothers: Cutter Shane, 17, a junior at Melba High School, Frederick Collins, 11, a fifth grader at Melba Elementary, Ezra Dennis, 9, a fourth grader at Melba Elementary, and Jeffrey Edward Jr, 6, a kindergartner at Melba Elementary; his grandparents Elizabeth and Shane Beus; and his many uncles, aunts, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Eli's name at makeawishidaho.org or raysforrare.org.Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday, March 31, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 112 Randolph St in Melba.
