Clark Jay Nelson, "CJ" passed away, Monday, October 14, 2019 in Meridian, Idaho due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born September 2, 1990 in Murray, Utah to Keven Jay and Carol Lynn Seward Nelson. He was the youngest of the three Nelson children. CJ grew up in West Jordan, Utah until the age of eleven when the family moved to Nampa, Idaho. He was a friend to all. He enjoyed getting together with his friends, campfires, fireworks, paintball and motorcycles especially motorcycles. He was always ready to go on a ride with whoever was available. CJ attended West Jordan Elementary, Greenhurst Elementary, Sunnyridge Elementary, South Middle School and Skyview High School. Although school was not his favorite he had an incredible memory and creative flair for storytelling. He followed in his father's footsteps in his love of motorcycles. CJ loved the freedom he felt while riding. He also enjoyed going to his Seward grandparent's home in Oregon and spending time exploring the logging trails through the woods as well as playing in the sand on the coast. Trips to his Nelson grandparents were filled with target practice, visits to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and traveling through the Black Hills. He was always willing to help others. There were no strangers just friends he hadn't yet met. From young to old he would strike up a conversation and enjoy sharing ideas on life. He was a baptized member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. CJ is survived by his parent Keven and Carol Nelson; his sisters Karli Nelson and Jamie (Eric) Carpenter; a beautiful daughter both Grandmothers and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 7809 Deer Flat Road in Nampa with a viewing at The Church from 10:00 to 10:45 AM prior to the services. Burial will be held at a later date in the Pike Cemetery in Yamhill, Oregon.
