James J. Rhoades, 31, of Boise, passed away on July 6, 2021 at 1:59 pm in a Boise hospital. He lost his life to sarcoma cancer. He fought a good fight. James was at one time the youngest neighborhood watch coordinator. He was a 7's Hero. James volunteered with Susan G. Komen, American Cancer Society and various other organizations. James was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. If he had it, it was yours. He always put others' needs before his own. He was loved by many and will truly be missed by all. He is survived by his parents Kelly and Gloria Rhoades; brother and sister-in-law Chris and Andde Rhoades and Grandmother Bettyann Kerr. He is preceded in death by grandparents John & Edna Rhoades and grandmother Ray Slater and Grandpa Ken Kerr; various aunts, uncles and cousins. A viewing will be held from 9-10a.m. on Saturday July 17 followed by a brief service at 10a.m. in the Charter Pointe Ward Relief Society Room of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5751 S. Five Mile Road, Meridian. A graveside service will follow at 12 noon in the Syringa Section of Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 Hill Road, Boise, Idaho.
