Luke Garrett Zilles passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho of complications from diabetes. At age 30, Luke was greeted by his brother Seth, Grandmother Doris, and many other family members who have passed on. Heavenly Father has taken home one amazing young man. Luke was born on October 3, 1984 in Logan, Utah. He loved dearly, and is survived by, his loving wife McKenzie; his parents Robert & Kathy Mike and Lonney & Patricia Zilles, as well as his many siblings: Janice, Matthew (Jessica) Zilles, Lyle (Tawnia) Zilles, Leon (Mary), Lonna (Shawn) Pardue, Summer (Jonathan) Bessey, Faith (Steven) Marlin, Jacob, Fatima (Brandon) Barrington, and Meadow. Luke married McKenzie Uscola on August 2, 2008. He was a man with a great love for children and spoiled his many nieces and nephews often. They all loved him dearly. Luke lived for fishing, hockey, his dog Gus, and all his family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Luke spent his childhood and many more good years in Anchorage, Alaska fishing and enjoying Aces Hockey. Luke got along with everyone. Sure, growing up, he was a biter and a puller of hair but managed to grow up into a fine young gentleman. Luke was a friend anyone could talk with. He never complained about his circumstances and just enjoyed being alive and having friends and family around him. He was a hard worker who enjoyed the outdoor life. He will always be remembered for his pleasant personality and willingness to help anyone in need. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the Nampa East LDS Stake Center, 3904 E. Greenhurst Road in Nampa.
