Carrie Shawn Anderson departed this earth on Tuesday August 28th after a Four-year battle with various health problems. She is the loving mother of three children Rhett, Ryan, and Olivia. The wife of Derk Anderson and the daughter of Dwight and Linda Crandall (Pocatello, ID). In life she gloried in knowing she is a daughter of God and a friend of many. Her joy was found in her children and being a mother. She leaves behind a large extended family that meant so much to her. Being an only child drove her to build real relationships founded on truth. Her parents prepared her to live an outstanding life of hard work and honor. Loving others is a family trait and she exemplified what was shown in her home growing up. She found a love for horses early in life that lead her to 4H. There her life was developed by the kindness of leaders and the examples of hardworking people. 4H is where she built a strong bond with her father. His dedication to youth taught her strong values and persistence. Her mother taught her the power in loving others and leaving people with a smile. Carrie's kindness and concern for others was because of the example of her mother. Being a mother of three she began competing in triathlons to show them what they can accomplish. This experience has given them a joy in being active and competing. One of her greatest strengths was giving advice. Her husband daily sought her out for advice and clarity on difficult issues and how to reach people. She loved to fill her home with pictures, quotes, and advice. The door leaving her house is a quote that says, "When given the choice of being right or being kind, choose kindness." She was always right and always kind.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 6111 Birch Lane in Nampa with a viewing at the Church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
