James Kevin Lister's (1/1/1978) heart gave out on the morning of May 31, 2022. He will be missed. Known as Jim - Jimmy to his friends and family-he lived a unique life full of adventure, kindness, and service. While Jimmy wasn't always nice or pleasant to be around, he was a service-oriented, loving man both to those who knew him and to strangers in need. It wasn't unheard of for Jimmy to buy a meal for friends and leave a huge tip in the hopes of brightening someone's day. His nieces and nephews benefited from his kindness with pockets full of change or candy whenever they saw each other. Jimmy's nieces (Kristen, Madison, Tabitha, and Sabrina) and Nephews (Jake, Nate, and Logan) meant the world to him, and he showed it any way he could, especially at Christmas when they were young. As his nieces and nephews grew older, he turned his attention to spoiling his great-nephews (Shane, Camden, and Karsen) by contributing bags of change to their future adventures. Jimmy was always taking in strays--both people and animals. From an early age, Jim loved animals and animals loved him. His three dogs--all named after Chicago Bears all-time greats (Briggs, Butkus, and Sweetness), two of which he inherited from his brothers because the dogs just liked Jimmy best, will miss him very much. James was preceded in death by his mother Jan W Lister; his brother Larry William Lister; as well as his grandmas and grandpas. He is survived by his dad and fishing buddy, Otis Dale Lister; his sister Tracy Redmon (Russ); and his three brothers: Richard (Alicia), Robert, and John Lister. As important as his family was to Jimmy, he is also survived by many loving friends--most importantly Jessica and Bryan Constant, whose love for Jim meant the world to him and his family.
