(208-467-7300) Jared Michael Dreyer was born September 10, 1976 to Rob and Peggy Dreyer. He was the oldest of seven children: Nick, Jenny, Toby, Shad, Kassie and Madi. Growing up Jared always had to be busy. He planted his own gardens, kept and maintained his own honey bees, including trips to California and Washington for pollination. Although he was highly allergic to the bees, he would bring his siblings to the hives and kick it to see who would get stung. Between the ages of 9 and 11, he gained a friendship with the neighbor, Grant Finch, who taught him the art of trapping, skinning, and curing hides of beaver, muskrat, mink and anything else that got in the trap's way. Since Grant couldn't see, he had Jared do the driving to check the traps. He participated in baseball and football in his early years. In 1989 his family moved to Winner, South Dakota where he developed a love for wrestling. From an early age, Jared was a very hard worker. He worked at neighboring farms, earning enough money to buy an old Ford pick-up, which he dubbed "Bouncing Betty". In 1991 the family returned to Middleton where he finished out his high school years participating in wrestling and rodeo. He also worked at the Beck Dairy. During this time he developed a deeply bonded relationship with his grandpa Jack Mills, whom he worked side-by- side with mining, logging, and any of the hundreds of projects grandpa could conjure up. After graduating high school, fearing someone would think he was lazy, Jared often worked two jobs at the same time. No matter what he was doing, you could always find him with a chainsaw and fishing pole. In 1999, he married Trisha Phillips. Although their marriage ended, they gained a beautiful daughter Abigail Lynn Dreyer, born in 2002. She was his pride and joy from day one. She was his most favorite fishing companion. Every fishing trip started out with a stop for worms and candy. In 2005, his relationship began with Alicia Rane. They joined their little families to become four. Jared had always wanted a son and with the joining, he now had a son, Kaden. They had many adventures, some were in the mountains, many were at a fishing hole of some kind, and his favorites were at the coast. Jared, Alicia and Abby were together for his first ocean experience. He loved seafood and to be able to catch crab himself was a dream come true. In the 12 years together, they lived in Middleton, Horseshoe Bend and most recently Logan, UT where he just had to find a good fishing hole. Jared had a funny way of showing it, but he had a deep love for his family. Even after a fist fight with one of the brothers, there would always be laughter and analyzing of what went right or wrong. He loved spoiling his nieces and nephews and wrestling with as many as could fit on the pile He was a man of few words and was thought of by many as an 'old soul'. His willingness to help anyone in need gained him many friends. He will be greatly missed and immensely loved.
