Jason Lee Lough was born January 11, 1975 in Boise, Idaho to Tim and Jo Lough. He passed away on May 11, 2021 due to a motorcycle accident. He was 46 years old. He is survived by his wife Pauline; daughter Ashlee; granddaughter Kinslee; parents Tim and Jo Lough; sister Jenni (Steve) Kenley; brother Travis Lough; brother Justin (Rayvin) Lough; sister Tiffany Lough; sister Jamie (Melanie) Hopkins; grandmother Patricia Clay; lifelong friend John (Sharon) Christensen; his beloved dog Sage; and numerous stepchildren and step grandchildren, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Curtis and Georgia Lough; grandfather Earl Clay; and mother-in-law Corrine Thiebert. Jason grew up in Boise and lived life to the fullest and on his own terms. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Jason always loved the outdoors and living off the land. He loved hunting and fishing every chance he could get- deer, elk, bear, moose, mountain lion, trout, salmon, perch, steelhead, you name it. He always had a freezer full of wild game meat, sausage, and jerky that he would share with anyone who needed or wanted it. He also loved to hunt mushrooms. Jason loved to cook and would dehydrate and can anything he could get his hands on. He loved to make his own beer, wine, whiskey, and moonshine, and he loved to drink it too. Jason was a music lover and could tell you the name and artist of any song that was played. He loved to sing karaoke and would always look out into the crowd to make sure his wife Pauline was watching. Jason was a hard worker and worked in construction most of his life. He could envision and build just about anything anyone could think of. There was never a job that Jason was not willing to help with and he was always helping his family, friends, and neighbors with different projects. He truly had too many talents to list. Although he looked intimidating because he was covered in tattoos and rode a motorcycle, he was really a big teddy bear and was always willing to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need- even those who had done him wrong. There was never a person that did not fall in love with him. Jason had a special place in his heart for many people that he had met throughout his life. Jason and his wife Pauline spent a lot of time in their cabin in Atlanta, Idaho with Jason's parents and other family and friends. It was their home away from home. They have a large community family in Atlanta with which they have celebrated many a good time. Jason loved his family even when times were rough and no matter what had happened. He loved his brothers and sisters; he loved and took good care of his parents and they could always count on him in times of need. His daughter Ashlee and his granddaughter Kinslee were the twinkles of his eyes. He adored his bonus step-kids and grandkids and they adored him. His nieces and nephews loved spending time with Uncle Jason, and he was always willing to take the time to love on them and tease them and make them laugh and smile. Jason gave the best hugs. Jason met the love of his life, Pauline- his "woman", in September of 2012 at a BSU tailgate party and he hurried and married her before she could get away. He lived for his wife Pauline, she was his other half and made him the best version of himself. They were meant for each other and loved each other with all their might. Jason was a kind man with a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by all who know and love him. Jason's motorcycle accident was the second deadly motorcycle accident in our family within the last 5 months. God bless Jeff and Vera Lough who also lost their son John to a motorcycle accident recently. Neither Jason nor John were wearing a helmet at the time of their accidents. If you ride a motorcycle, wear a helmet, it could save your life! Jason lived his life helping others and because he was an organ donor, he will continue helping others even after his death. He is a hero and is giving the gift of life. Please consider being an organ donor so others might live. There will be a Celebration of Jason's Life held on Saturday June 12, 2021 from noon until late into the night. It will be held at 4350 S Banner St Boise, ID 83709. Jason always loved a good party! Anyone who would like to come celebrate Jason's life are welcome. This is a potluck, so bring a side dish, your own beverages, and your own chairs. There will also be a silent auction to help raise funds to cover his expenses, so please bring any items you would like to donate to the cause. Please come and help us celebrate Jason!
