Jorja Hales Peterson, 41, passed away peacefully on February 12th, 2016 in South Jordan, Utah in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loving and admiring family. In 2007 Jorja was diagnosed with Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE), a rare vascular cancer. Jorja refused to let cancer define her life and despite the trials she faced as a result of her illness, she continued to serve and love others in her family, church, and work circles. Jorja was a gifted violinist, a capable pharmacist, a devoted mother, and a loving wife. She was an amazing friend and always made time to offer kind words and a helping hand accompanied by her infectious smile and laugh. Jorja had an abiding testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ, of His atonement, and of the Plan of Salvation. Although we miss her dearly, we can find peace in the knowledge that life does not end with death and that families can be together forever. A viewing and reception will be held on Thursday, February 18th (6:30-8:30 pm) at the LDS chapel located at 11420 South 700 West, Draper, UT, with a funeral service honoring Jorja at 11:00 am Friday, February 19th.at the LDS chapel located at 12101 South 700 West, Draper, UT. In lieu of flowers, the family would like others to consider a donation to the EHE foundation (http://fightehe.org/donate-now/), or directly to The Cleveland Clinic - EHE research center managed by Dr. Brian Rubin.
