On July 19, 2022, Jena Lynn Lott returned to her Heavenly home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She has fought a courageous battle with cancer. Jena was born March 22, 1974 in Madras, Oregon, the daughter of Terry and Judy Rudd Herzberg. As the second of six children, Jena soon took on the role as peacemaker and nurturer to her two sisters, Darci and Staci and three brothers, Derek, Brandon and Teryn. In her early years Jena lived in Eagle Point and Corvallis, Oregon before returning to Madras. Along the way many lasting friendships and treasured memories were made. It was during her teenage years the family settled in Fruitland, Idaho.Education was always important to Jena. She graduated from the Fruitland High School as Salutatorian in 1992 receiving a full-ride scholarship to attend Idaho State University where she studied speech pathology for three years. Following a prompting, she made a decision that would determine her future and the rest of her life when she left Pocatello, literally in the middle of the night, moving to Boise. It was there she and Spencer Lott would cross paths and their courtship would begin. On April 17,1999, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Boise Idaho Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To this marriage would be born five beautiful children; Jackson, Brooklyn, Samuel, Axel, and Easton. From the time she was a young girl Jena's greatest desire was to be a devoted wife and mother and she has excelled at both. It was important that every holiday and birthday would be an over-the-top event. Always planning fun-filled vacations and family time together. Always thinking ahead of what would make everyone happy and bring lasting memories. And that she has doneJena was blessed with many gifts and talents. She taught herself to play the piano. Her culinary skills were unmatched as she would create elaborate dinners and desserts and always beautifully present them. One of her many hobbies was interior decorating not only her own home but helping others with theirs. She had a special gift of knowing how to make everything look beautiful. She loved helping others with weddings and receptions and was always the go-to girl for ideas and making things happen. And even in her final months, despite her illness, she found the strength to plan and create beautiful wedding receptions for Jackson and Callie and a few months later Brooklyn and Dillan. Everyone loved her light-hearted sense of humor and her endearing ways of making you feel special in her presence. She had a unique way of finding optimism in everyday life even when others couldn't and even when you wondered how she could. Jena definitely played the role of the Good Samaritan. Of her many gifts, her most defining attribute would be her love and her service to others. Even through her challenges, her thoughts were always for the needs of someone else. Throughout her life Jena has had opportunity to serve the Lord by serving others as President of the Primary, the Young Women and also the Relief Society. She always magnified those callings, always going the extra mile. Jena lived a Christ-centered life based on her unwavering faith in the Gospel. She loved the Savior, she loved attending the House of the Lord and spent many hours in the Temple. Even in the face of adversity and pain she has endured. Staying a little longer for a little more time, to love, to serve, to teach us all. Jena had that same unwavering faith even if it meant not to be healed.Jena is survived by her husband Spencer, her children Jackson (Callie)Lott, Brooklyn (Dillan) Egbert, Axel, and Easton, her parents, Terry and Judy Herzberg, her sisters, Darci (Dominic)Knee and Staci (Rory) VanZelf, her brothers Derek (Sarah) Herzberg, Brandon (Molli) Herzberg, and Teryn (Crystal) Herzberg.
