Laren Lloyd Andreasen, 48, was born in Pocatello, Idaho on December 4, 1972. He was married to Lisa Stevens for 27 precious years. They were sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple. He passed away September 21, 2021 in Boise, Idaho. Above all else, Laren loved being a husband and father. He was a family man and enjoyed taking care of his family. His "family" also included foster and adoptive children, whom he continued to love. Laren was close to his parents and siblings. He was known for telling stories often recounting funny times from his childhood that involved his brothers and sisters. He was very independent, adventurous, and kind as a child. That spirit of independence and kindness continued through his entire life. He often went to Pocatello to visit with his parents and assist with home repairs, bringing them joy and comfort. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed family history, studying about prophecies and planning for emergencies and the future. Laren spent many years engaged in the scouting program and enjoyed the friendships that developed. Laren had a love of learning, formal and informal. He attained an Associate's Degree in Electromechanical Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. He was also a semester shy of a degree in Instrumentation and one in Education. His passion for learning extended to all realms. He dabbled in the harmonica, piano, cello, Kenpo, auto mechanics, hunting, motorcycle riding, horseback riding. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and bowling. Throughout his life he maintained a passion for gardening. He especially loved growing peppers and sharing his hot pepper chili powder. He also enjoyed (understatement) his guns and reloading bullets. He was a firm believer in the Constitution and the freedom it brings to our country. He loved projects. Last year he built adirondack chairs, an entertainment center for the family room and redid closets. He would fix and install anything. If he didn't know how to do it, he learned how. He enjoyed Dutch oven cooking and grilling. He would usually cook a family meal each week. We enjoyed his Danish meatballs, sausage-vegetable fry with butternut squash sauce, stir fry and homemade gluten-free bread. He wanted his children to be self-sufficient. He enjoyed participating in projects with them. These included shooting, learning to drive the tractor, drive a stick shift, how to wash and wax a car "properly", vehicle maintenance, gardening, how to clean a drain, fencing, buck hay, how to paint, build animal shelters, properly start a fire, chop wood, fold a flag, how to dance and how to hook up and drive a trailer. The list goes on...He treasured his many long-lasting friendships and was always creating new ones. He would drop whatever he was doing to help a friend or family. He will be greatly missed. Laren is survived by his wife Lisa, children Mae (Randy) Reed-Wells, Mackenze (Dallin) Cox, Masen, Cheyenne, Megan, parents Lucille and LeGrande, siblings Stephen (Terri) Andreasen, Andrew Andreasen, Lois (Dave) Sutherland, and Chanda (Frank) Sperry.A ZOOM link has been provided for family and friends who are unable to attend the services.ZOOM:https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81761178450
